The Luck of Us

“You gotta try your luck at least once a day, because you could be going around lucky all day and not even know it.” – Jimmy Dean.

I remember long ago, the winds of my sail shifted after many years of “the good life” in Los Angeles. I became really down and bitter during the best luck I ever had in my life – the birth of my first baby boy! We were living in Santa Monica and my joy was shaken by a major hack/stalking that turned me into someone who was distrustful and afraid. I was saved by my miracle son but haunted by the reality that the internet can introduce negative things to your personal world. Suddenly, I focused too much on the dangers that hide in the shadows of technology. But, I remained in the light, too, because of my baby… it’s hard to explain. Despite it all, we were lucky, I see that now. This life-altering experience brought us closer. And five years later, I know I am blessed. My son is blessed. We are happy. Being Irish, I celebrate the luck that lives within each one of us. Don’t let anyone steal your joy.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Cheers to you,
